"I came with a shoebox of statements going back fifteen years. Nora was patient — she sorted through everything without any fuss. I left with a proper folder and a list of where each document lives. I cannot tell you how much lighter I felt going home. The two hours went past surprisingly quickly."

"The workshop series is structured thoughtfully. I was in the second cohort and I found the third session — about planning daily time in retirement — the most valuable for me personally. Wei Liang runs the room well, gives everyone space to speak. I would have found it slightly more useful if the sessions were a bit longer, but the content itself was solid."

"We booked the family coordination session for my mother and the three of us siblings. It was Priya who managed the individual calls beforehand — that made the actual session remarkably calm. By the time we sat together, the difficult topics had already been aired privately. The written summary they produced afterwards is something we will keep for a long time."

"I was sceptical at first — I thought I could organise my own documents. But after three failed attempts over as many years, I decided to try a session. It was very practical. No lectures, no advice on what I should or should not do with the accounts, just quiet work to put it all in order. Exactly what I needed."

"I attended the workshop series two years before my planned retirement date and I am glad I went that early. The fourth workshop — writing a note for the family about wishes — made me think about things I had been putting off. Good group of people in the room too. It is helpful to go through this with others in the same situation."

"The family session was my idea. My husband was doubtful but agreed to try. Priya's interview calls beforehand were the thing that made him comfortable — she explained clearly that this was not a financial discussion. The session itself was calm, structured, and at the end my daughters had a clear picture of where everything is. We should have done it years ago."

Stories in More Detail
✦Case Study 01 — Document Session
Fifteen years of paperwork, sorted in an afternoon
Situation
A retired civil servant in his early sixties had accumulated pension statements from three different employers, nomination forms completed at different points in his career, and EPF correspondence he had never opened. He knew the documents mattered but did not know where to start.
What We Did
In a two-hour session, we worked through every document together — grouping by scheme, labelling clearly, and identifying two nomination forms that were outdated and needed updating by the client through the relevant scheme administrators. A printed organiser folder and a one-page summary were produced.
Outcome
The client left with all documents in order and a clear reference page. He was able to identify and act on the outdated nomination forms within a week of the session. He described the session as the most useful two hours he had spent on his retirement affairs.
"I should have done this years ago, but better now than not at all."
Case Study 02 — Family Coordination
A family conversation that everyone needed but nobody knew how to start
Situation
A 64-year-old woman was preparing to retire after a long career in the private sector. Her two adult children, who lived in different parts of Malaysia, had differing ideas about her plans and neither had a clear understanding of where her documents were kept or what her preferences were for the years ahead.
What We Did
Priya conducted pre-meeting telephone interviews with all three family members. Each spoke freely. The facilitated two-hour session was then structured around the topics that had emerged — document locations, household routines, preferences around independence, and a shared understanding of the transition ahead.
Outcome
A written four-page family summary was shared after the session covering the agreed points and each person's noted preferences. The family described the session as having resolved several months of uncertainty in a single afternoon — without conflict or pressure.
"We all said things we had been thinking for a long time. The structure made it feel safe."
